Communicating God in Non-Book Ways

Communicating God in Non-Book Ways
Pictures have long played an important part in communicating the Gospel. The bread and wine of the communion service, the cross on the communion table, the simple fish shape found on lapels and car windows remind us that visual symbols have always been a part of proclaiming who Jesus is and what he’s done. Medieval mystery plays, the rediscovered paintings on the walls of cathedrals, Christian hymns, chants and songs through the ages, all remind us that although words are important, music, drama and pictures have always been part of telling the Christian story too.
