Instead they ignored God’s command, gathered in one place and built a tower to bring glory to themselves. So God confuses their language to force people to spread over the world. Thus his purpose is fulfilled./resource.aspx?id=0c2ce10d-cb67-4888-acba-ed2536d54655Tower of BabelThu, 21 Aug 2008 11:25:11'''Lesson 1''' - Greater than ever before. Noah was a righteous man in a time when everyone else had turned from God. He found favor with God, chosen by him to take his family through the destruction God was bringing on the rest of the earth. Noah believed God, trusts him and obeyed him by doing what God asked to prepare for the coming flood. God preserved animal life using Noah’s purpose built ark and human life is preserved through Noah’s family in the ark./resource.aspx?id=558e4a00-87d5-49e1-87e1-e91324900062Noah — a Righteous ManThu, 31 Jul 2008 12:01:09Cain and Abel — Part 2. Cain takes his brother out into the fields and kills him. God calls Cain to account for his brother’s blood and gives Cain mercy. Even so, Cain’s cry to God shows the pain of separation that sin brings. “This punishment is too hard! You are making me leave my home and live far from you…”/resource.aspx?id=dc47215e-8b77-4bb9-92e4-718ca3de1561Cain Murders AbelThu, 31 Jul 2008 11:53:51Cain and Abel Part 1 The goal of this lesson is for children to understand that regardless of our public actions, God sees our hearts and our private actions. All of this matters to God. God saw that there was something in Cain that did not match the sacrifice he offered. When God accepted Abel’s offering, Cain did not learn by it, instead he was filled with anger. God does not intervene to prevent Cain’s anger but God warns him that ‘sin is crouching at his door’./resource.aspx?id=25e8d4c8-c621-46b7-9fb7-f1b0db9e558fGod sees my heart, my attitudes matter to Him.Thu, 31 Jul 2008 11:46:50Daniel at the King's Table. This lesson explores the benefits of obedience and discipline, helping children to see how they can develop it in their own lives as self-discipline and faithfulness to God. Children will understand how they can connect with God through prayer and learn to obey God’s word in the Bible. This module was developed in Liberia to aid in recovery from a 14 years brutal civil war which affected almost every part of Liberian society, including children. To help Liberia be restored, rebuilt and live at peace again the issues of forgiveness, love, conflict resolution, sexual abuse, etc must be addressed. The church has been lacking and so these lessons will be a tool in the hands of the churches in Liberia to begin re-building the broken walls of Liberia. There is a big need for healing presently. People were abused, raped and tortured and were exposed to violence and drugs during the war. These 8 lessons were written for children who were abused and misused, some of whom watched their parents being killed. Teenagers who were sexually abused, traumatized, etc will also benefit from these lessons and the hope is to target every Liberian who is carrying the scars of war, unforgiveness and shame in their heart from day to day. About 80 children's ministry workers, sports ministry leaders, orphanage home workers, pastors and youth volunteers were involved in the writing of these lessons including some victims and 3 former rebel soldiers (1 female and 2 male)./resource.aspx?id=629390d7-7541-4038-9426-e5582f3d4862Christian Family Values — Obedience and DisciplineTue, 29 Jul 2008 14:09:16The Parable of the Lost Son. This lesson recognizes this trauma and frustration and encourages children to seek wonderful hope and deep healing in a relationship with the living God.
