This unit focuses on exploring who God is and what He is like. Using the stories of Elijah and Elisha, it seeks to increase the child’s understanding of both the greatness and the loving-kindness of God.
LESSONS
1. God is powerful (1 Kings 17:1-6) God can control nature.
2. God can be trusted (1 Kings 17:7-16) God loves us and can take care of us.
3. God is the only true god (1 Kings 18:20-46) We should not worship or serve anything else.
4. God cares for us (2 Kings 4:8-37) God loves us and will do what is best for us.
5. I can tell others about God (2 Kings 5:1-14) Other people need to hear about our great God.
