Jesus and Peter – feed my sheep. Sometimes all the good news that we can give does not reassure a child that they (personally) are important, special and that God really wants them. Children with low self esteem (self-worth) find it hard to believe that they can be precious when they feel that there is so much that is wrong with them. This story of Jesus bringing reconciliation personally to Peter (after he denied Jesus) assures us of Jesus’ care, love and concern for his mourning and confused followers. This lesson was donated by a group of writers from India who are children’s ministry leaders, teachers and theologians. Together they put together a module of 10 lessons of the things they wished that they knew when they were young, new Christians, or just learning about Christianity for the first time.
