This lesson is for the first week of the celebration of Advent. It explores the idea that God’s people were waiting and hoping for the promised Messiah and challenges the children to think about how they prepare to celebrate Christmas. It leaves them to consider the difference it makes to the way they live knowing that we are waiting for Jesus to return. It works best with 8 to 12 year olds.
