In this 90 minute training session we will discover the concept of wholeness and its elements. We are all broken in some way but cannot become whole in our own strength – only God can restore wholeness in our lives. God is interested in all the elements of wholeness of our lives – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational.
What is wholeness and brokenness? Wholeness means being healthy, balanced, and aligned with Christ’s intent for us. Brokenness refers to feeling fragmented, damaged, or being out of alignment with God’s intent. We can’t fix the brokenness in our lives, but God can. Jeremiah 18:1-6, 2 Corinthians 5:17.
What are the elements of wholeness? There are five elements of wholeness: Physical – stewarding and presenting our bodies in a way that honors God. Emotional – regulating our emotions in a way that brings glory to God. Mental – aligning our thoughts to the word of God. Spiritual – understanding who God is and our identity in Him. Relational – understanding how we relate to God, ourselves, and others.
How can we live a holistic life? We are to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. We love God through all the elements of wholeness. Luke 10:25-28
