This 90 minite training session will help us to explore our intimate communication and relationship with God through prayer.
What is prayer? Prayer is an interactive conversation between us and God. It is a two-way relationship in which we not only talk to God but also listen to Him. It is not a performance, and we don’t need special words. We can pray to God about anything. Matthew 6:5-8, Philippians 4:6, James 1:5
Why do we pray? There are many reasons why we pray. Jesus showed us by example that prayer is important. Conversation helps us to get to know one other better. In the same way, prayer allows us to know God’s heart better. We pray to give worship to God. We pray to seek His guidance and wisdom. We pray to ask for things. We ask for forgiveness for our sins. Psalm 145:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 1:5, 1 John 5:14-15, Genesis 24:25-26
How do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in the Bible. There is no one formula but Jesus gave an example to guide us. Study the Lord’s Prayer to understand each key point. Practice praying with a partner. Matthew 6:9-13 This trainig session is supported by PowerPoint and video content.
