In this session, we will explore the process of disciple-making. Participants will be guided through disciple-making principles. These essentials provide a full experience for developing disciples and walking alongside new disciple-makers.
What is the Disciple-making process? Jesus modelled a helpful process of making disciples. It’s shaped like an apprentice or mentor/mentee type of model. Jesus showed us that making disciples is drawn from living out His love for people. He wants us to actively go out to share Jesus' message with all nations – and it can start where God has placed us. Pray and stay connected to God, Connect in the community by building relationships and trust Find people who are receptive to Jesus, (person of peace) who are open to hear about God. Discover Jesus together in the Bible. Show them who Jesus is, by how you live and trust in Him. Multiply disciples by empowering and equipping disciples with the vision and tools for multiplication by making more disciples who are disciple-makers.
Principles in our current ministry contexts We can look at our current ministry contexts and see how the Disciple Making Process is revealed there and what we can bring from this learning to grow healthy disciple-making processes. We will look at each step on the Disciple-Making process to see how it is “showing up at home”.
